  • Minor Updates
    You will get free updates for minor revisions made to this book throughout the year. If you opted in to receive emails, you will get a notification when the book is updated and you can re-download the updated version.
  • Major Rewrites
    If there is a significant rewrite of the book due to technological changes then you will get a large discount to upgrade to the rewritten book. This usually happens when a new version of iOS is released.

πŸ“ How do I get a copy of my invoice so my employer can reimburse me or for tax write-off purposes?

  1. While logged in, click on your Profile picture and select Settings > Billing section.

  2. You will see a row called "Invoices". Click the View button.

  3. Click the PDF button to download your invoice.

🧾 What if I need a custom invoice?

  1. Big Mountain Studio has a custom invoice you can view and make a copy of. (File > Make a copy)

  2. Enter all of your company's details that you might need for expense reimbursement and then save it as a PDF to submit to your company's accounting department.

πŸ“— How do I get the new version of the book when updates are made?

When you download a book, you create an account that gives you access. 
Simply log in again and you will have access to all your updated products. Go into each product and download the newest version. 
I usually include the date in the file name so you can easily see if you have the latest version or not.

πŸ’· The book is too expensive for my country. Do you have other options?

Here are some options:

  1. You can always start with the free SwiftUI book sample.

  2. Get your employer to reimburse you for educational expenses, including books. (See below how to get your invoice.)

  3. Lastly, you can join my partner program for free! Simply share what you have created in SwiftUI, or share your thoughts about the free book sample on social media and reference the book with your partner link to get commissions on books sold. You get 50% for every book sold.

πŸ“š How do I get a Team, Class, or Bulk License?

Contact me (through the site's message system) with how many people you need a book for and which products you need.
1. I create a custom product with the price for the bulk seats.
2. After purchase, you will send me a CSV of all the students'/employees' emails and names (I can show you the format).
3. Then I use a tool on my platform to upload them and give them all access to the book(s).
4. The tool also sends them a registration email so they can create an account, download the book, and get all of the updates in the future.

  1. Log in and click your profile in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Settings.

  • Downloading the EPUB version of the book and opening it in the Books app is my preferred experience.
    The EPUB version also allows you to play the embedded videos too.
    Note: This works on both Mac and iPhone.

❓Where can I go to get programming help?

Your FASTEST response time will come from StackOverflow.

When I post a clear question with a code sample I get an answer (or multiple answers) usually within an hour.

Part of the reason is because that platform has gamified answering questions.

People who answer questions get rewarded (points). Because of this, people RACE to answer your questions first in hopes you will accept their response as the answer to your question.

  • Never be afraid to ask ANY questions on these forums. Devs on StackOverflow fight to answer questions, no matter how easy or hard. Remember, they get rewarded for helping.

  • Start your question with WHAT you're trying to accomplish to give context. Sometimes the approach you are trying to debug is the wrong approach.

  • Include code examples and screenshots when applicable. Make it easy for someone to answer your question.

⬇️ The download keeps timing out. How do I fix it?

Do not click the "Download" button at the top of the page.

This button will group ALL files into one very large zip file that most likely is causing the download problems.

Instead, scroll down to the individual files and click just the book version/file you want to download.
